Due to a combination of terrible weather hitting Madagascar resulting in failed crops and a huge increase in demand worldwide, the price of organic vanilla powder has skyrocketed.

Although we don’t keep vanilla powder in stock we do have a very high quality source and still wanted to offer this product to customers.

Please be aware it is never guaranteed that we’ll be able to get hold of stock and if you do order, delivery will take longer than usual (up to 2-3 weeks).

Our organic vanilla powder is made from dried organic Madagascan bourbon vanilla pods and is extremely delicious but also extremely rare these days.

The use of vanilla has a long history, it was thought to have been cultivated far back as the Aztec empire. The word ‘vanilla’ come from the Spanish word ‘vaina’ meaning (sheath, or pod), ‘vaina-illa’ meaning little-pod. Vanilla pods are the pods from the flat leafed vainilla orchid.
