This mugwort tincture is a whole plant extract of the Artemisia Vulgaris herb which originates from Europe and eastern Asia and is actually considered a type of wormwood. It has a long history of medicinal use dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period (5th to the 11th centuries). It has also been used as a beer flavouring before the use of hops.
Mugwort herb contains many beneficial compounds, it is an emmenagogue which increases blood flow the the uterus. It’s also an a choleretic which is a digestive aid. It has been used in ancient Chinese medicine to aid arthritic discomfort.

Dosage and serving suggestions
We always recommend consulting a registered herbal practitioner, but a common suggested dose is 1-3ml in water up to two times a day. This is a lower dose than you may see elsewhere but this is due to the high strength of this extract.
