Kale powder is from the popular leafy green/purple vegetable, its name originates from the Dutch word ‘boerenkool’. Historically, kale has grown across Europe and Russia with some varieties introduced to Canada and USA in the 19th century. It is a surprisingly versatile vegetable which has grown in popularity over the past few years based on its high nutritional content and its availability across Europe and the UK.
Organic kale powder is extremely concentrated as kale in its natural state contains 85% water. This means that just 10g of kale powder is the equivalent of 66.7 grams!
