Organic Date Sugar

Organic date sugar is utterly delicious and can be quite hard to find made organically. If you like the flavour of brown sugar then this will really appeal. The flavour is (in our opinion way better than brown sugar!) like caramelised dates. It works amazingly in hot drinks and baking as a natural sweetener.

Is date sugar a better sugar alternative?

Date sugar is an amazing alternative to conventional sugar, not to mention its delicious flavour, but because it’s only around 45 on the glycemic index. For context, refined sugars like Glucose are 100 GI and Maltodextrin is 110 GI! Anything under 55 on the GI scale is considered low and won’t have such an impact on blood sugar levels.
