Organic nori seaweed, also known as ‘laver’ has traditionally been harvested off the coast of the British Isles as well as in East Asia for thousands of years. It is the seaweed commonly used to make sushi wraps, as well as the Welsh favourite laverbread here in the UK. Its use in Wales has decreased in recent years however it is still one of the most popular seaweeds worldwide due to its use in making sushi. Nori is a dark green seaweed when dried, with a lighter colour when rehydrated with a rich earthy and umami flavour.

Suggested use:
Organic nori seaweed is commonly used dried or toasted, either as a wrap for sushi, or sprinkled on soups, salads and a variety of dishes. It can also be added to during cooking for a rich umami flavouring. It is also used as an addition to biscuits, oatmeal or bread (laverbread).
